This week, Fav celebrated its first two level 10 creators, opened clipping to every verified streamer, and passed 263 million bust points. We also looked back at Haunted Mansion and shared how the community will help shape the events and experiences coming next.
Fav’s first Level 10s
Congratulations to hardwarewlg and joncollins21, the first creators to reach Streamer Verification Level 10!
After more than two years of Fav, the first two Level 10s arrived just days apart. Both moments brought their communities together to celebrate the people, support, and time it took to get there.
We’re planning celebration streams for each creator, where we’ll reveal more about the level 10 reward and what it means for the people who helped them reach it.
Five million ghosts busted, and counting
Spooky Season is heading into its final weekend, with 263 million bust points earned so far.
As of this week’s stream:
- Around 5 million ghosts had been busted.
- Ophelia had appeared nearly 20,000 times.
- 136 people had reached the 500,000-point Bust Mastery milestone.
- Nearly twice as many people had found an amulet as last year.
Spooky Season runs through Sunday at reset. There’s still time to hunt for your first amulet, work toward a milestone, and see what’s left to discover.
And your busting total won’t disappear with the season. Total bust points will remain visible on profiles after the event ends.
What Haunted Mansion brought to Fav
Haunted Mansion brought thousands of new signups and returning users to the app. At its peak, nearly 5,000 people were watching the event on Fav at once, and the number of people on the app reached more than double its usual peak.
Clips and coverage on TikTok and Twitch also introduced the event to people beyond Fav. Thank you to everyone who watched, shared a moment, or welcomed someone new into the chat.
We also heard your feedback about being included earlier. For future events, we want to give the community a clearer heads-up about what’s happening and who’s joining, while helping incoming creators get to know the app and the people here.
Clipping now unlocks at Level 1
Every creator at Streamer Verification Level 1 or above now has access to their livestream recordings and clipping tools at clip.fav.com.
Log in on a desktop or laptop to turn your best moments into clips. You can also give someone else clipping access to help capture them. Mobile access is in development.
Share your clips on TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, Discord, or wherever your audience spends time, and tag Fav so the team can find them.
A great clip gives someone a reason to discover your stream. Sharing and supporting each other’s clips helps more people find the creators already here.
Keep your app up to date
The latest iOS build includes more than 100 fixes and supporting changes, including work to address the AT&T Wi-Fi issue. Android also received an update with fixes specific to that platform.
Many of those improvements started with community reports. After updating, let the team know what’s working better and what still needs attention.
Send reports through in-app support or the Help Center support form, including what you tried to do, what happened, and screenshots or a screen recording when possible. Beta testers can continue using the beta feedback channel.
If the App Store search result still says “Open,” tap into Favorited’s full listing to check for an update.
Community Month: help decide what comes next
Community Month is planned to begin next week, after Spooky Season wraps. The exact launch date is still to be confirmed.
Alongside activities in the app, we want the community to help shape a future event: what it should be, whether it happens in person or in the app, and how people qualify to participate.
The plan is to gather suggestions, narrow them to ideas we can realistically deliver, and give the community a way to vote. Qualification doesn’t have to be based on gifting. We want your input on what participation and a fair selection process could look like.
Start thinking about the experience you’d want to be part of and how others could join in. We’ll share more about submitting ideas and voting as Community Month gets underway.
More ahead for streaks
Streaks will play a role in Community Month, with more information about recovery options coming next week.
If an iOS bug caused you to lose your streak, contact support now. If you have another streak issue, send the details so the team can review your situation. Recovery requirements and individual cases still need to be worked through.
Growing from the community outward
We’re continuing to develop the “Hype Squad” idea discussed last week: recognizing people who welcome new users, help them learn the app, share clips, and support community events.
The details are still taking shape. The goal is to build on what people already do for each other and give the community a bigger role as Fav grows.
More opportunities in the ranks
We’re working on a way to verify gaming creators for the gaming ranks, alongside plans for more categories and ways to compete.
The goal is to give more creators meaningful ranks to work toward as different types of content grow on Fav. We’ll share specifics as those features get closer.
Last Streamer Standing starts Friday
Last Streamer Standing, hosted by 1el_chapoescobar, runs this Friday to Sunday. The 1v1 tournament carries through Spooky Season’s final weekend, so there’s plenty of time for battles and busting.
Check the Events Calendar in Discover for details.
Join Zach for The Streamer Awards
Zach plans to go live on Fav the evening of November 12 as part of The Streamer Awards activation, welcoming people discovering the app.
Follow his account and turn on live notifications to join the welcome. The exact time is still to come, with another update planned for the Wisdom Wednesday before the event.
