This week, we shared major event milestones, an early look at what’s ahead, and more on how community feedback continues to shape the app.
Snipe the Summer made its mark
Snipe the Summer is heading into its final stretch with a major milestone already on the board: more than 300,000 Snipe battles have taken place during the event.
And one of its biggest changes is here to stay. 90-second battles will remain on the app after Snipe the Summer ends.
Sub Season is off to a strong start
Just 24 hours into Sub Season, we recorded our largest number of subscriptions in a single day since subscriptions launched.
Sub Season was designed with more achievable targets than Snipe the Summer, giving subscribers and streamers plenty of ways to make progress throughout September. Renewals can also earn bonus points, including eligible subscriptions renewed during the final days of August.
There are more sub star variants planned for the future, so this month is only the beginning.
Native testing is underway
The external beta for our native app is live, and testers are already sharing a huge amount of feedback with our team.
We’re still looking for more Android testers. If you use Android and want to help shape the next version of our app, email beta@favorited.com.
Testers will also be able to earn different beta badge variants based on their level of participation throughout the testing period.
Tournaments & events
Our Events Calendar is the home for official events and community tournaments sanctioned by our team. Individual Scheduled Events will continue to live separately, with more improvements planned for that experience.
Our next creator tournament is taking place on September 12. The Veterans and First Responders tournament will use a rumble-style format with four-person free-for-alls, three-strike elimination, and three-minute battles. If you are eligible and interested in participating, fill out the interest form by going to the rules page in the Events Calendar banner.
Active and former military members can also request a military badge for their Favorited profile by messaging Support.
Looking further ahead, we’re exploring ways to support more community games through self-generated tournaments. The vision is for gameplay data to help identify active players and create new competition opportunities on a monthly or quarterly basis.
Every report has a person behind it
We also shared more about how reports are handled on the app:
- Every report is reviewed by a person.
- Decisions are tied to our Trust & Safety policies and Community Guidelines.
- Each step in the process is recorded.
- The same standards apply consistently across the community.
We plan to keep sharing more about our Trust & Safety processes so the community can better understand what happens when a report is submitted.
What helps creators grow?
When asked what separates creators who grow quickly on the app, we pointed to five things: clear expectations, goal setting, consistency, positivity, and persistence.
Growth rarely comes from one big moment. It comes from showing up with a plan, building with your community, and staying consistent long enough for the momentum to compound.
A peek at what’s ahead
Spooky Season will bring another new twist to the app. We teased real-world amulets connected to an in-app item and an IRL event, with more details still to come.
We also shared a few ideas that have been on our wishlist for a while, including Fav’s Furry Friends, Nuggie Royale Battle Mode, and more creator-led tournament tools.
Quick answers from the Q&A
- Subscription earnings are added to a streamer’s coin bank immediately.
- Analytics are planned as part of our Native experience.
- We’re continuing to collect feedback from beta testers as development moves forward.
