This week, we checked in on Spooky Season’s first days, talked through amulet powers and Ophelia discoveries, and shared what’s next for the rebuilt app. We also looked ahead to October’s creator tournaments, Favorited’s involvement in The Streamer Awards, and more.
Spooky Season is back with a vengeance
Spooky Season launched just five days ago, the community has already earned 67 million bust points, and three people have already passed the 500,000-point Bust Mastery milestone.
The opening weekend alone brought 577 amulet finds, and 127 players have now completed 100 Ophelia busts to unlock her Music Box.
Spooky Season runs through November 1 at reset, with more spooky gifts and discoveries still to come. Keep building your Bust Mastery and working toward the weekly and overall amulet leaderboards as the season continues.
Amulet powers
We answered a few questions about how previous amulets come into play this year:
- The Red Amulet’s power stays active until an amulet is found. It increases the chance of finding an amulet, with no short timer running out on the effect. Timing still varies, so an active power doesn’t mean an immediate find.
- Participation matters. Staying active, busting, and taking part throughout the season all matter. Simply leaving a stream running isn’t the same as engaging with the community.
- The Green Amulet helps bring Ophelia into play. When fog appears, the community can work together to summon her.
Capturing your Spooky Season moments
Your verification level should not affect whether you receive your amulet or Ophelia event clips. If a clip you expected hasn’t appeared, contact support@favorited.com so the team can look into it.
We’re also preparing to expand general clipping access to more streamers below Level 4. The new eligibility threshold hasn’t been announced yet, but more creators will be able to capture and share their moments.
How medal progression works
Medals are designed to grow with your progress. As you reach higher levels, the same medal evolves, with its color reflecting the level you’ve earned.
That higher-level medal represents the earlier milestones you completed along the way. We’re working on making those levels and their meaning clearer in the app, so your collection tells the full story of what you’ve achieved.
Building on the rebuilt app
The rebuilt app is live on iOS and Android, and the whole team is now focused on improving that shared foundation.
Current work includes overheating management, audio, gift queues, stream recovery, and watch feed stability. New iOS updates went out today, with more improvements continuing to roll out.
Make sure you’re using the latest version of Favorited. You can check for an update directly on the app’s App Store or Google Play page. Detailed feedback through support@favorited.com helps the team keep improving the experience.
The rebuild also gives us more room to deliver new features. Streak updates are in the works, with more planned around making long streaks rewarding. Community Month is also expected to return, with details still to come.
The rebuilt app and our exit from beta remain separate milestones. Favorited is still in beta, and we’ll share more as we get closer to that next chapter.
October’s creator tournaments
This week kicks off a busy run of creator-hosted events:
- Graveyard Games | October 8–10: Hosted by poet_family_networks. A 2v2 partner bracket, best two of three.
- Avatar Legends Gaming Tournament | October 9–11: Hosted by queen_dragon and alphaghostflex. Our first officially supported creator gaming tournament, with a 20-player, double-elimination format.
- Creator World Championship | October 15–17: Hosted by elvo_zsa. Seven regions compete through continental qualifiers, regional championships, and a world final.
- Last Streamer Standing | October 30–November 1: Hosted by 1el_chapoescobar. A 1v1 format, first to three.
Head to the Events Calendar in Discover for tournament details, requirements, and the latest schedule.
We want to keep making it easier for creators to bring their own ideas to the platform, with more tools for community-run events planned over time.
Favorited at The Streamer Awards
Favorited is sponsoring the Vertical Streaming category at The Streamer Awards, introducing more of the streaming world to our platform and community.
Voting opens Friday, October 16. Visit The Streamer Awards website for details and voting updates.
Rethinking the requirements to go live
We’re exploring how people qualify to go live on Favorited, with more emphasis on getting involved in the community than reaching a follower count. The goal is to encourage new creators to spend time in other streams, meet people, and learn how the app works before hosting their own.
No new requirements were announced this week. We’ll share the details as those plans develop.
