This week, we shared the latest Spooky Season timing, a few more amulet hints, and what the rebuilt app makes possible. We also celebrated Sub Season, answered questions about verification, and looked ahead to October’s creator tournaments.
Spooky Season is almost here
We’re targeting Friday, October 2 at 2 PM PT / 5 PM ET for the start of Spooky Season, pending Apple approval. The event will launch on iOS and Android together. Once the update is approved and the launch time is confirmed, a countdown will appear in the app.
The rules are scheduled to go up at reset on September 30, with a pre-launch walkthrough planned for Friday. Keep an eye on the in-app banner for confirmed timing and the latest updates.
You’ll need the rebuilt app to participate, so make sure to update before the event begins.
More ghosts, more secrets
Returning favorites, new discoveries, and a few familiar faces are waiting this season. Ophelia even made an appearance during the stream, and there’s more to her story this year.
Here’s what we shared:
- Previous spooky gifts are back in play. Eligible gifts you unlocked last year will be bustable again and count as spooky gifts for this year’s amulet hunt.
- Amulets have different powers. You’ll be able to have both amulets active at the same time, with distinct effects that will be visible when their powers are active.
- The color reveal is up to you. The first person to find this year’s amulet will be the one to reveal its color.
- The season will keep unfolding. More content and hidden discoveries will arrive throughout the month. The launch rules are only the beginning.
The rebuilt app is live
Our rebuilt app launched last Friday on iOS and Android. It’s a new foundation for Fav, giving the team more flexibility to improve the experience and bring new features to the community.
The next update includes Spooky Season alongside a wide range of fixes and improvements. With the team now working together on the rebuilt app, we can make changes faster and keep building on that work.
Thank you to our beta testers and everyone sharing detailed feedback. If you have something to report, send it through the beta channel if you’re a tester, or contact support@favorited.com so the team can track it.
We’re also working on clearer ways for creators to understand and grow their reach, easier notification management, and an onboarding experience that helps new streamers get to know the community through participation.
Sub Season brought thousands of new subscriptions
Our first Sub Season has wrapped, bringing thousands of new subscriptions and a community that unlocked every app-wide milestone within the first week.
We also saw a brand-new streamer top the weekly subscription rankings, a glimpse of how creators are building communities around subs.
More subscription features and benefits are on the way, including something specifically for subscribers during Spooky Season. September may be over, but there’s more ahead for subs.
A reminder for our beta community
Reaching Level 1 verification as either a gifter or a streamer before Favorited leaves beta locks in the 70/30 base revenue split and verification bonuses for your account.
The rebuild and our exit from beta are separate milestones. The beta exit date is still to be announced, and we’ll give the community advance notice. Beta badges are also planned to recognize the people who were part of this chapter.
