A recap of this week's Wisdom Wednesday with Zach and Meggs.
Global Fav Cup
We're in the round of 8, and next week is the last week: the final four countries go head to head at the same time, whoever finishes 1st, 2nd, and 3rd takes the podium. Biggest shock of the round: Mexico was knocked out by Scotland.
The Licking Lion is a variant of the existing lion gift, not a separate item, and it sets the tone for more gift variants to come. Anyone who reaches podium for a country unlocks it permanently, and that's country podium (locked in the moment that country is eliminated), not a weekly podium.
Algorithm transparency
Straight answer to a direct question: yes, Favorited's watch feed has an algorithm. It's built to connect you with who you want fastest, not to maximize scrolling, and there's no ad model behind it.
The 10 current ranking factors: follower count, verification status, whether you're in global rankings, number of people in your live, gifting rhythm, big rank jumps from a "blessing," chat roll speed and unique comments, affinity, live stream score, and what you're actually doing while live (interacting vs. a dead screen).
That list is about to grow. Some factors are being adjusted, new ones are being added, and cross-creator pushes (like co-hosting boosts) will become more explicit. Expect more detail, including the transparency piece people have been asking about, next week.
Gaming medals start going out soon for podium finishers. To make sure they land on genuine top performers, there's a quick audit built into the rollout.
The clearest way to protect your algorithm standing: keep your live authentic and engaged. Genuine sleep lives are treated differently from a static, camera-off setup, and the team is building the tools to tell the two apart automatically.
Subscriptions
Following up on last week's subs launch:
- "100% of subs revenue to creators" means 100% of Favorited's cut, after Apple and Google take their standard 30% App Store fee. Apps in the App Store are required to offer Apple and Google as a payment path, so that cut isn't optional. As Fav scales (and as Apple/Google fees shrink for subscribers past a year), those savings get passed to creators.
- Level 1 verification unlocks subs. To keep 100% (minus the fees above), stream 1+ hours, 5 days a week.
- Bonus payout timing confirmed: you get the initial signup amount up front, then the remainder lands at week's end on reset.
- Subscriber-only lives aren't on the roadmap right now. The platform's focus is people interacting with each other, and subscriber badges already give supporters a way to stand out without walling anyone off from chat.
Studio and the app rewrite
- Level 1 verified streamers will soon unlock Studio desktop automatically, no more emailing in to request access, as long as your device supports the app (not available on phones yet).
- Performance fixes for the downloadable Studio app are wrapping up this week, clearing the way to move everyone off the old browser version next week alongside the gaming medal rollout and Studio auto-unlock.
- The full core app rewrite is in its later stages. No firm date yet, but sooner than most would expect given the scope. It includes reworked box layouts and, unlike the audio/video overhaul, should be easy to beta test since most users can keep using the current app while a beta group tries the new one.
- More gift animations and effects for boxes (beyond today's sound alerts) are on the roadmap as part of ongoing Studio improvements.
Bonuses and revenue sharing
70% revenue share for verified gifters is being grandfathered in. Get verified before Favorited exits beta (an announcement with a specific cutoff date is coming, with at least a month's notice) to lock in that rate and bonus structure going forward. This also applies if a verified gifter later becomes a streamer, they keep the 70%.
It's one of the most appreciated parts of the platform among long-time creators, and the team's watching this week's reset closely to keep payouts running smoothly.

Good to know
- Missing your subscriber star? It usually just means the payment is still processing. File a support ticket (support@favorited.com or through Settings) and the team will sort it out. Payment methods and processing times vary by country, so some regions can take up to a week.
- Subscriber perks: giving every subscriber the same fixed perk (like a badge or item) is fine. Random-chance giveaways tied to being subscribed are the one thing to avoid.
