General
Does Studio work on a Mac?
Yes! Studio is browser-based, so it works on Mac, Windows, and most personal computers.
What browser should I use?
For the best experience, we recommend Google Chrome.

- Ryzen 7 CPU (or equivalent)
- 16 GB Ram
- 25mbps Upload Sped
- NVIDIA 20-series GPU (or equivalent)

How do I select a camera or audio source?
In the lower-left panel, click Add Input or Add Source, then choose the camera or audio device you want to use.
Why don’t I see any audio or video devices in the dropdown?
This usually happens for one of two reasons:
- Browser permissions aren’t enabled
Make sure your browser has permission to access your camera and microphone. - Another app is using your devices
Close all other programs using your camera or mic, then refresh Studio and log back in. Your sources should reappear.
How can I capture my screen or other sources?
- Screen Capture
Use Studio’s built-in screen capture to share a tab, window, or your full screen. - Device Capture
Use Add Device to select capture cards like the Elgato 4K X. - OBS
Use Add Device to select your OBS Virtual Camera.
How do I configure my OBS Virtual Camera?
In OBS, configure your scenes and click Start Virtual Camera.
Then, add it as a device in Studio and resize or crop as needed.
Recommended setup:
- Aspect ratio: 9:16
- Resolution: 720 × 1280
If you’re multi-streaming, the Aitum Vertical plugin is a great option for managing a separate vertical canvas.
How do I configure my audio?
Because Studio runs in the browser, desktop audio can’t be imported directly.
We recommend using:
- A virtual audio cable, or
- A virtual mixer (best option)
Our top recommendation for Windows users is Voicemeeter Banana.
How do I bring audio from OBS into Studio?
Many streamers route audio through OBS. To do this:
- Set OBS audio monitoring to your virtual cable or mixer
- Add that same cable or mixer as an input source in Studio
Why do my viewers hear an echo during co-hosts, Boxes, or Battles?
This happens when Studio audio loops back into itself.
If Studio is outputting audio to the same virtual cable or mixer that’s also selected as an input source, it creates a feedback loop, resulting in echo.
Fix: Make sure Studio’s audio output and input are not the same source.
Why is my stream blurry?
Blurry streams are usually caused by one or more of the following:
-
CPU usage
Check Task Manager to see if your system is overloaded. -
Graphics settings
Lower in-game graphics. Remember, Studio streams at 720×1280, so optimize for that resolution. -
Bandwidth
Use a wired Ethernet connection when possible. Wi-Fi can be unstable. -
Network or system load
Make sure other devices or apps aren’t using heavy resources. -
Internet provider issues
Occasionally, upstream issues are outside our control. -
Anti-virus software
Some anti-virus programs can slow down games or browsers. Add exceptions for your games and Chrome if needed.
