Sound Mixer Troubleshooting Guide
If you’re experiencing issues with your sound mixer, follow these troubleshooting steps based on your operating system.
Windows Troubleshooting
No Power
• Ensure the power cable is securely connected to both the mixer and a working power outlet.
• Check the power switch to confirm it is turned on.
• Try using a different power adapter or power outlet.
No Sound Output
• Right-click the sound icon in the taskbar and select Open Sound Settings.
• Under Output, ensure the correct device (mixer) is selected.
• Open the Device Manager (Win + X > Device Manager) and check if the sound mixer appears under Sound, video, and game controllers. If not, update or reinstall the drivers.
• Ensure that master volume and channel levels are turned up on the mixer.
• Verify that the mute function is disabled on both Windows and the mixer.
Distorted or Poor Audio Quality
• Open Sound Settings and select Device properties under your mixer. Adjust the sample rate to match the recommended settings (typically 44.1kHz or 48kHz).
• Check for driver updates in Device Manager.
• If using a USB mixer try different USB ports.
• Test with different input sources (microphone, instrument, AUX) to isolate the issue.
Microphone Not Working
• Go to Settings > Privacy > Microphone and ensure that microphone access is enabled for applications.
• In Sound Settings, make sure the correct input device is selected.
• Test the microphone with another application or device to rule out hardware failure.

• Move the microphone away from speakers.
