How to Moderate Your Chat

When you are live, you can moderate your chat by giving the user a timeout, banning a user, or kicking a user out of your live.

Give a user a timeout

You can mute a user by giving them a “timeout.” To give a user a timeout, follow these steps:

  1. After you have gone live, tap on the user to bring up their half-screen info.

  2. Tap Timeout.

  3. Choose how long to give the user a timeout.

  4. Tap Mute chat.

    The user has now been muted.

Ban a user from your live

  1. After you have gone live, tap on the user you want to ban to bring up their half-screen info.

  2. Tap Ban User.

  3. Tap Ban.
    Note: Banning a user bans them from all future streams.

Kick a user out of your live

  1. After you have gone live, tap on the user you want to kick out to bring up their half-screen info.

  2. Tap Kick User.

  3. Choose how long to kick a user out.

    User is now kicked out for however many minutes you selected.
