What is ID verification?
ID verification is a quick, secure process where you confirm your identity by submitting a government-issued ID (like a driver's license or passport) and a live selfie. We use Stripe Identity, a trusted third-party verification provider, to handle this check. Your ID documents are processed securely by Stripe and are not stored on our servers.
Why am I being asked to complete ID verification?
There are several reasons you may be asked to complete ID verification:
- To complete Gifter & Streamer Verification Level 1 requirements
- To confirm you're old enough to use the app and purchase or send coins
- To verify your identity before we release payouts to creators
- To meet regulatory requirements for Know Your Customer (KYC) and anti-money laundering (AML) compliance
- To investigate unusual account activity or a suspected policy violation
- To restore access to an account that's been flagged or restricted
This step helps us keep the platform safe, prevent fraud, and comply with financial regulations — protecting both you and the entire favorited community.
How do I complete ID verification?
If you were sent a link from our Support team or an in-app Activity feed message, simply click the link, take a photo of your ID and a quick selfie, and you're all set.
If you have met the streaming/gifting requirements to move to Gifter/Streamer Level 1, you can start verification in the app by going to Profile > Verification > Identity Verification.
