When you’re live, you’re in control. You can keep your chat on track by timing out, kicking, or banning users when needed.
Here’s how each option works:
Give a user a timeout
Timeouts are a quick way to mute someone without removing them entirely.
After you have gone live, tap the Viewer list icon.
- Tap the user you want to timeout
Tap the Timeout icon.
- Choose how long the timeout should last
-
Tap Mute chat.
The user has now been muted.
Check out the gif below to see it action!
Ban a user from your live
Banning removes a user completely and prevents them from joining your future streams.
After you have gone live, tap the Viewer list icon.
- Tap the user you want to ban.
Tap Ban User.
Tap Ban to confirm.
Note: Banned viewers wont be able to join any of your future streams
Kick a user out of your live
Kicking temporarily removes someone from your stream.
After you're live, tap the Viewer list icon.
- Tap the user you want to kick.
Tap Kick User.
Choose how long to kick them out.
-
Tap Kick for __ minutes.
The viewer is now removed for the selected time
Pro Tip
Use timeouts for quick chat cleanups, kicks for short breaks, and bans when you need a permanent reset. Your stream, your rules.
